Confluence is when several technical factors point to the same area: a daily S/R level meets a trendline, meets an important MA, meets a round number.
The more independent reasons stack up in one area, the more that area deserves to be used as a decision point. But do not force it — two strong reasons are better than five reasons you went looking for.
